The second thing a blog gives you is
relationships. When you have a blog, you have a way to get people to
perceive you as "THE expert" in your market. You have a chance to show off
your stuff in each and every post.
You have a way to have a 2-way conversation
with these people too. You're no longer talking AT them, now you're
talking WITH them. This just doesn't have with a typical website that has
only a sales letter on it.
And, while you're building those relationships
with the visitors that you get easily because of the way a blog functions, you
simply SHOW those people what you have to offer and tell them how it helps to
solve their problems. You do this through the sidebar of your blog,
through the posts you put on your blog, and through the emails you send out to
the new subscribers to your list.
Since these people already see you as "THE
expert", and since they have a way to ask you questions and get your answers,
they buy more frequently. They subscribe more frequently too.
And third, as you're creating all that great
"content" for your blog (in the form of articles or
"posts"), you're also creating the "stuff" that you can use
to put together free reports, ebooks, and other information products so that you
can have something to sell and make money!
You see, you don't really have to create ALL
that "stuff" that you need from scratch! You can simply write
the articles that you need for your blog to drive your traffic. Then you
can repurpose that content and use it to get:

When you're using your information to create
products that people have to purchase, this generates "Leads" that you

(such as a Local Marketing Consultant, massage therapist, chiropractor, etc.), a

Someone who has purchased an info product from

products and services is to first write short articles that you then repurpose

email, the products themselves, the website, etc. to sell the other things you
offer.
